ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Statement of General Policy

Southern & Redfern Group Ltd has been contributing to the building and engineering environment for over 80 years. We fully recognise the implications of our operations for the environment and our responsibilities towards the protection of that environment.

Accordingly Southern & Redfern will seek, where practicable, to promote the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources and to minimise environmental pollution in all of our activities.

This policy will contribute to reductions in – global warming, wastage of the earth’s resources, the destruction of the ozone layer and will help improve the ecology.There are many areas where measurable improvements in environmental performance can be achieved, these include:-
• Energy use in both customers and the companies premises.
• The reduction and elimination of harmful chlorofluorocarbons in refrigerant plant.
• The recycling of waste from construction sites and the companies premises.
• Heat producing equipment NOx emissions.

Southern & Redfern Group Ltd will review all appropriate activities and services to meet the objectives of this policy and to develop further policies to support this commitment and improve its environmental performance.
